Mike Thompson's Electric Plane

Mike scaled plans from Flying Models Nov. 2001 of the Mini 7 by Harry Stewart. He made some changes in structure, its weight is about 7-8 oz. ready to fly. It is covered in Yellow Jap tissue. The first flight was 3-24-02 at 8:00 a.m. and it flew for about 15-20 minutes per charge on its 8.4 volt, 300 MAH Ni-MH battery. It has a GWS A-motor, GWS EP0947 Prop (9-4.7), 2 Hitec HS-55 servos, GWS 5 amp E.S.C., and a Hitec feather receiver. The transmitter used is a Hitec Focus 3 channel FM. There were no radio problems and the plane had good range on the feather receiver.
